Slander is bad. And ExI, more than anything else, needs to
maintain a good reputation.

But moderating the list and asking for contact info before allowing
people to post will do more damage to ExI's reputation than some
screwball who comes online and lies about Max More's sexual practices.

It makes us look like hypocrites. It makes us look like fools. It
makes us look like we have stuff to hide.

Moves like this are not in keeping with the spirit of Spontaneous
Order, or even with Open Society/Self-Direction.

Of course the list is your private property, which you allow others to
use. You have every RIGHT to damage your reputation. But, IMO,
extropy is more important than that.
