I don't believe so.
I believe the concept of numbers arose in primitive
times, along with other forms of language, as a means
of thinking and communicating about physical reality.
Org had two bananas but Urg had none, and Urg was
hungry. Urg needed to tell Org that he would bash his
head in if he didn't give up at least one banana.
