Brian Opined:
<< I oppose world government, and support the government rejecting
inequitable treaties like the ridiculous Kyoto protocol.

The U.S. would be maimed economically, while China gets to pollute
its ass off. Just more socialist nonsense.

No thanks.

The U.N. only gets to overrule countries it can get other countries
to apply force to.

What the world needs now is not love, sweet love, or Uber-Management by
Euro-styled bureaucrats; but rather, better energy technology that pollutes
far less, pollutes not at all, or pollutes, but the effulent is captured by
technological means. All this has to be constrained by cost factors of this
technofix development, and the material being used. I am focusing chiefly on
coal, in this case because it is comparatively easy to get to and is
superabundent, at least for now. I embrace the use of non-poluting
technology, as long as it produces enough useable energy.

So who gives a fart on what I embrace? The Answer is Nobody and his Brother.
My point is that the market seems to behave as I have prefaced above. Now how
do we as Joe Six-Pack pressure those who wield economic and governmental
power? My answe is to judiciously bind with groups that see the technofix
solution as most affable. Most utility and automobile companies are in the
money business, not the energy and transportation business. So the economic
reward has to be seen by such types to invest.
