Re: HUMOR: Pledge of Allegiance unconstitutional!

Before throwing around accusations of revisionist history, please
understand the actual history involved. Do you know what Deism is? Almost
all the founders were Deists, in fact, and NOT christians. Read the vitriol
thrown at them from the time by the christian leaders for denying christ,
the bible, etc. and you'll see. When Jefferson referred to a creator, he
was not referring to the christian/jewish/muslim versions (all very
different from each other by the way) but to the deist model of a creator
who made the universe and its rules, then left it to be.
Christians will try to tell you that (since they believe, as do all
monotheistic/revelatory religions, that all history revolves around their
beliefs) god is god, but it's very obvious it's not the same being at all.
(Yes, Jefferson was arguably a unitarian, and at that time it was a
quasi-christian belief system. Read Charles B. Sanford's The Religious Life
of Thomas Jefferson, or Jefferson's own Life and Morals of Jesus Christ)
In a time when christian leaders are pushing their agendas, knowing
the truth about the founding is rather important. So, your statement about
almost all the founders being christian is wrong.
