Many people in this discussion are equating a strong sex drive with a desire
to rape. Rape is not a crime of sex, but a crime of violence. This is not
just a slogan, it is the result of psychological research.

Studies on rapists show little evidence of a high sex drive, instead rapists
have a strong incidence of cruelty. Rapists do not have a history of lots
of sex or lots of masturbation or thinking about sex. Instead, they have a
history of torturing animals, abusing children, and a volatile temper.
Rapists do not like to watch romantic or sexual movies that lack violence,
but they do enjoy watching violent movies or torture, whether it is sexual
or not. Also, most rapes involve sodomy, underage children, torture, and
all sorts of unreproductive acts. Reproduction does not seem to be a
primary goal for most rapists.

Rapists are sadists who like to hurt people. They are more interested in
causing pain than they are in reproducing. The idea that rape involves a
strong sex drive or a strong reproductive drive is not supported by the
evidence.
