Well, light is light. Propagation velocities of EM radiation is
roughly the same in the same medium (notice that light could slow down
to a few cm/s in Bose-Einstein condensate). Is the source of chromatic
aberration slightly different propagation velocity of light? I would
think so.

Look into violet GaN (gallium nitride) lasers and optically switched
networks. It seems that GBit networking might be superseded by TBit
networking within the next decade.
