Well that's completely tautologous. Of course that's
true, i.e., "in my opinion, people should not have been
enslaved" is implied by "I disapprove of slavery". (I
find the first statement a bit, though pardonably,
peculiar because it contains a redundancy.)
Moreover, and this may be what is troubling you, I also
find equivalent "people should not be enslaved" and
"people ought not be enslaved".
