Even if one takes the British surveillance system as an example of
"transparency" (when quite obviously it's not), it would only serve
to show that the combination of transparency and strict gun control
doesn't work, and with that I wholeheartedly agree. What I (and I'm
sure others) advocate is a world where /all/ people are free to use
/all/ technologies available to them for defense--both surveillance
equipment and weapons. It's about freedom, not crime.
