It seems that Indonesia is at risk of the same level of diversionary
violence as Pakistan has suffered from. A primary opposition leader is
also alleged by the US to be an al Qaeda supporter, and the national
leadership can't afford to come out against him and be seen as
kowtowing to the US, while at the same time, this leader has made
statements today that 'we asked for it'. Thus, the stage is being set
for another front in the terror war. What will be interesting is how
Australia and Canada respond to their own citizens being victimized,
with few Americans present.
