Lately? Haven't discussions of racism have been around
for some time? I know it got quite heated last summer.
I suspect the same for "violence", but am not really sure
what you mean by that.

Hmm. Could be, but I don't recall list management being
an issue last summer. As for rewriting Max's principles,
can you mention who has wanted to do that? Could you
name anyone who says they want to change Extropian
philosophy?

Well, could be, I suppose. But the effect is too subtle for
me. I believe that the issues of racism etc. are simply
very, very difficult. Each issue has an enormous associated
semantic network to a huge range of political loyalties,
human compassion, and abstract principles. I would be starkly
amazed if there were unanimity on such issues---as amazed
as I'd be if there were consensus on how or whether to wage
war on terrorism.
