international committee of the red smiley face

Hiyas

it occurs to me that as the red cross is perceived in some quarters as being a
christian organisation, due to it's use of the cross as a symbol, and as the
muslims have set up the red crescent society (any others? Is there a red star
of david organisation?) perhaps we need to cut through all of this
denominational clutter and get right to the heart of the matter: an
internationally recognised symbol of relief and, well, cheeriness.

So, I propose that the various red thingy societies merge under the banner of
the International Red Smiley Face.

Just think about it, what do you feel when you see a smiley face?*
How do you think you would feel if you were badly injured and you saw a van
hurrying towards you, with a huge red smiley face on the side? It's bound to
cheer you up, right?

I mean, why mess around with abstractions, when we can have a pictorial
representation of what you'll look like at the end of the process, assuming
everything works perfectly?

Plus it already looks good against a yellow background.

It's just a thought, but it's the little thoughts which count.
Well, the big ones count too, but you can have too many big thoughts.

So: vote "yes!" to The International Committee of The Red Smiley today!

Dwayne
*unless you are coming down.
