The metric used in biochemistry is that 10 deg. of temperature change
changes the rate of chemical reactions by a factor of 2. But I think
that is only at room temperature. I think this involves the Arrhenius
Rate Law (http://www.compusmart.ab.ca/plambeck/che/p102/p02151.htm for
example).
