One "G.I.B." of my acquaintance has referred to the condition as
"my gyros are permanently caged and locked in the 'no problems here'
condition."
I take it, from my reading, that it is a bit of immersion/overload
"therapy"--if you don't wash out, your brain gives up. In a good way.
A little googling will turn up some putative treatment protocols.

PS: GIB is aviator-speak for "guy in back"--the unpilot. Weapons, nav, whatever;
think "Goose" in _Top Gun_, IIRC.
