Somehow I don't think the claim was that anyone here abuses anyone. But
public email lists sometimes attract spammers and people out to mark up
whatever they can meaninglessly. I can see that the conversation should
be protected from that sort of abuse. Haven't really seen such here
though. So either it is not a problem or current safeguards are quite
effective.
