I would love to see the noble cause of fully-reversible, long term suspended
animation being pursued with a research budget of at least fifty million
dollars to be spent over a ten to twenty year period.
An organization that pursued this but never got off the ground due to lack
of funding is the 'Prometheus Project.' It was founded by Paul Wakfer who
is a long-time advocate of cryonics.
You can reach him at

Either this organization could get the support it needs or an entirely new
organization could be created to spearhead the development of such a
breakthrough technology.
I realize many experts(even in cryonics) say that reversible suspension for
mammals such as humans is just too difficult but it would be a challenge
that would be worthy of great effort and investment of resources should it
succeed.
The suspension of human beings would go from being a 'fringe' movement to be
an extremely important part of the mainstream. The critically injured,
those facing terminal illness, the severely disabled, and the elderly could
all greatly benefit from such an incredible technology. And the rewards to
the investors could be monumental.
Please include this topic when you make your presentation. I can think of
few areas more worthy of research.
sincerely,
John Grigg
