What I am wondering, though, is why you think it is such a bad thing to
use biometrics in id documents like passports and visas. Libertarian
societies depend upon maintaining high degrees of trust between
individuals. This trust is compromised when untrustworthy individuals
are able to penetrate and infiltrate the society via lax immigration
standards and poor means of verifying individual bona fides.

Even L Neil Smith admits that libertarian societies cannot deal
effectively with terrorist attacks.

Another thing I wonder about is how is it that you have a problem with
such biometric id standards when you choose to live in a country which
is considered one of the most burdensome in regard to government
paperwork and bureaucracy imposed on the average individual.

Mike
