Panspermia is old hat, but 41 km is not space, and it's not obvious how
bacteria riding micron-sized dust at some 100 km/s a) will survive a
~lightyear journey b) will survive reentry.

Pebbles are easy, but interstellar pebble transport doesn't happen.
