Re: Postsingularity civilizations interceding on a lesser's behalf...

Because life started on Earth as soon as it could...
there is post-Singularity life several billion years old throughout this
universe.

The only reason it does not intervene now, since it is more ethical than us
(wouldn't be too hard in terms of most people, driven mad by resource
deprivation, illness and death - yep, it's hard to deny - and also
bodylocked and incapable of resetting themselves) is because...

there is already Tipler style quantum transference (splitting) of
consciusness at the moment of death and simultaneous repair at the other end
of the split.

Similarly, a multiverse (even the minimum Tiplerian style multiverse) is in
effect now, without obvious Tiplerian nanoprobes and Dyson effects.

Hard to believe?

Care to believe that life doesn't exist elsewhere? That if it does, it's not
ethical in a way we can understand? That it all fell in a heap and collapsed
with each Singularity? Take your pick. But just remember, life began on
Earth as soon as it could begin...
