Yes, I used to run into some engineers like that at Ford Motor Company. I
once asked one of that type about feeding fuel into a gasoline engine. (That
curious phrasing in the last sentence refers to my lack of interest in
keeping carburation, fuel injection, etc separate) He immediately decided he
needed to include diesal engines and proceeded to tell me more than I ever
dreamed was possible to know about that subject -- but as you probably know
it is always a pleasure to hear a real expert talk about their job.
