       I am going to pick on you. <G> Because I'll bet you repeated something
you have always heard without thinking it through. "One of my aunts is half
Cherokee." That implies that either your mother or father is also half
Cherokee. In turn, that makes you a quarter Cherokee.
       As to what you saw in Oklahoma. Almost anywhere you have a group of
Indians you will find a shell of prejudice surrounding their community.
There may be exceptions, I haven't traveled that widely. I would bet you
will find a similar reaction to almost any group that have gathered in one
locality.
