The same reason you are not, right now, out in a river panning for
nuggets of silicon. You don't need to.

I think the real question is why WOULD they? If you have a computer,
which thanks to nano-technology, can do practically anything you want,
why would you take the time and effort to travel to another galaxy to
build another one?
