Hubert,
Someone once made a joke of a job application or security clearance
application. They asked the applicant if he belonged to any organization
dedicated to the overthrow of the government of the United States. This was
a period when the Dems were in power. He answered, "Yes, I am a registered
member of the Republican Party."
Hubert, I have often been in the party that was out of power at this
or that period in our history. I have often vehemently disagreed with our
government. But, yes in my judgement we were defending against a real and
present threat. But we might differ and I don't want to get into that debate.
