Now more than ever.

Nor can I.

Roger that. Thats why I am an openness advocate. Total
mutual transparency.

Exactly. I introduced SUP to emphasize that *we cannot get to
the truth,* not by current means in any case. All attempts at truth
in history and truth in current events are necessarily colored by
political spin and desire to generate profits. How can we even tell
what truth is, in the political sense? We cannot! Our best efforts
are consistently defeated. Intentionally!

I am proposing presenting truth in a way that we have a better
shot at achieving: emphasize truth in terms of science and technology,
for these areas can be more readily described by humans in colorblind,
genderblind and value-neutral ways. The SUP factor is lower.

What is untrue about describing war as wasteful, tragic, mostly
meaningless and profoundly destructive? What is untrue about
saying wars are won by those who control the best technologies?
Does it really matter which political view or which nation prevailed?

I want to derive a means of describing history that has equals signs
in it. I want to see a means of using computers and mathematics
to understand history. Otherwise we continue to do the same in
history education which we have been doing: chasing the wind.

I propose a new paradigm in understanding and teaching what really
matters in history, and I suggest that history isnt about war and it isnt
about rulers or political parties. Its inventors, Harvey! Its science
and technology that makes us what we are and will make us what
we can become.
