The standard answer is "go read CFAI". It is specifically designed to
ward off (over time, as it gets smarter and examines its own "facts"
for surety level) programmer or environment-induced irrational
or false influences. The attempt to do this is one of the most important
pieces, and something that generally no other AI team plans to tackle.
Most of them either seem to want to build their own morality into their
project, or just experiment using evolutionary or other techniques and
"hope for the best".
