Am I wrong guys -- I seem to remember that Frederick Von Hayek in his
books traced the so called liberals of today back to a conscious decision
amongst the socialists in the 19th century to hide behind that term? If so,
then the only true liberal is the so called Classical Liberal. As to the
modern liberals they are just some stripe of socialist or left winger.
As to the cycles in history I fully expect there to always be a
tension between those sick enough to want to dominate & wield power over
their fellow man and those of us that don't wish to be subservient to
government functionaries.
