Why ... A Greek enthusiast like youself? Hmm.
“Andy Warhol is no 20th century stainless steel, antibiotic, blast-off
personality. I think of Andy as a Greek from the 4th century BC. He's as
classic as the gold paint he prefers to use....” (Art Kane)
Warhol's "Alexander the Great" was a lovely Greek tribute.
"A major retrospective of the notorious late artist Andy Warhol is the
cynosure of side shows scheduled for the 65th annual Thessaloniki
International Trade Fair, held between September 2-11 in the Northern Greek
city. With the USA being this years honoured country, organisers have
scheduled numerous events to celebrate and promote its culture, sports and
other social activities."
