In a message dated 8/11/2002 3:23:12 PM Central Standard Time,
mail@HarveyNewstrom.com quotes: Well, as of yesterday afternoon I'm
officially on the downward spiral of senescence, as I've hit the illustrious
3 decade mark with a vengence. Denture and spectacle fittings on Monday
(assuming I can get out of bed, that is).

Jeez, you know a lot of people don't consider you adult until you are 35. At
18 you get to fly on your own within some limits. Then at 21 you become
adult enough to take over your own development. But, at 35 you are finally
worth taking seriously.
I have read that some also predict that when medical immortality is
upon us we will most probably age until about 34 and then quit growing older.
So welcome to your approaching adulthood. :))

BTW, about those dentures and spectacles. They fall into two classes.
Dentures, If you take good care of your teeth there is every chance you will
never need dentures. A dentist may take a different view but this is my
experience.
Spectacles, Alas Mother Nature has her plans and she will do it to us again
and usually a little past forty. You see at about forty the female of the
species starts having little crows feet show up at the corners of her eyes to
give her age away. Mother Nature at that moment shifts the male's eyesight
so that he has to have glasses to see close up -- consequently when we are
playing those romantic close up scenes without glasses the female suddenly
has 17 year old skin all over again. That is only the females of nature
handicapping things in their favor. <VBG>
