Well, they destroyed 2 skyscrapers - a couple billion dollars. This is small
next to the tens of billions the Feds are blowing using 9-11 as a cover. In
economic terms, I'd figure you'd need about a WTC a week to match the
government. Ain't gonna happen.
You're also forgetting the Jihaddi aren't the only religious fanatics willing
to kill thousands of foreigners and cause vast economic destruction to
achieve their goals. Bush has appointed several, notably Ashcroft. He's
in bed with the fundies, remember? Christian governments can be terrifyingly
brutal and oppressive - go read about the Wars of the Reformation.
