Maybe the nanoflies could be used to distribute the nanoants.
After reading _The Invincible_ by Stanislaw Lem I couldn't resist
rendering a picture of the swarms of Regis III. It is an excellent book
that manages to convey just how tricky it can be to figure out how to
deal with emergent systems. I'm amazed with the sheer number of ideas
about nanotech, swarm robotics and artificial evolution Lem managed to
cram into this novel in 1964.
