Oh, you are referring to "painting"? Painting is simply one small aspect
of art. It's like saying that "programming" is Technology.

Blonk.

Art is merely a technique? Okay. It is in part a "systematic procedure by
which a complex or scientific task is accomplished," but this is merely a
procedural aspect of conception and implementation of design.

I'm shaking my head.

Of course. What does this have to do with the fields of art? If there is a
nice lawyer and a mean lawyer, I'd prefer to hang out with the nice
lawyer, but I'd rather hire the one who would get the work done accurately.

Sounds like you had a rough time of it. It happens in just about every
field and business, but probably more noticeable in law and art galleries,
and the film industry. I heard some pretty surprising stories about
doctors too, not to mention waiters.

Not everyone has to like art or Art. It certainly does much to uplift the
human spirit and enrich our minds whether it be science fiction, music,
paintings, film or dance.
