Yikes! I'm having flashbacks to university where I flirted with the idea
of a philosophy major. My favorite professor was a Plato scholar & before
she resigned, she taught a very small class concentrated solely on Plato's
Republic. (She was wrapping up her own edition of the text to submit for
publication.) This brings it all back - discussing precisely these ideas &
problems - as a fledgling undergrad I spent a semester trying to wrap my mind
around it all. After a few weeks, I was totally hooked & probably spent way
too much time in the library. I have tons of notes, citations, essays, etc.
but I don't have any answers (& I'm not so sure Plato had any either). I just
thought it might be fitting here (I think :P).
*glad she never had to write a senior thesis*

ps. And just when I thought I could forget that Nietzsche ever existed, the
very mention of "Good" being "similarly complicated" is enough to keep me up
all nite- thanks a lot! ;) hahahha
