One of the stocks I own is really zooming up the charts. The company is getting oodles of publicity because of the controversial nature of some of its products, and the risky potential abuses of its various applications.
I am not feeling particularly anxious about the statist implications of "chipping" objects, animals, people (it's not mandatory - at least not in the near future, heh heh heh) - but I know if there's any one group that can disabuse me of my naivete, it's you guys.
There are many benefits (e.g., providing exacting medical information in a flash), as well as potential risks (mainly having to do with our society becoming even more transparent?).
All or a sudden those far-off-in-the-future Star Trek days of, "Computer, locate the captain," don't seem so far-off ... or far out.
