Besides being able to locate all chipped persons instantly and
potentially track their movements completely (including who they
met with and for how long and where), there are also a few more
possibilities for feeding paranoia. Similar devices that give
electric shocks or other unpleasantness to prisoners under house
arrest have been worked on. There is some possiblity of
applications that effect moods and mental functioning. Some
versions of such chips may contain such "special" features.
I love computers and technology but some of the possible abuses
have me a bit worried.
