Here's a message I recently sent to the transhumantech list.
Maybe someone here would be interested in the new list as well.

Subject: META: changes, new list

Obviously, free information is not perceived as valuable, so most people
don't feel the need to reciprocate. Witness this list.

Running transhumantech takes time, so I'd like to have something in
return. Starting immediately, there is a new ezmlm-run list called
tt@leitl.org

It is a closed list, inasmuch it will require subscribers to contribute to
stay on the list. I'll keep an informal tally. I will remind you politely
to contribute a few times, before unsubscribing you, in case you're an
incurable leech. Yes, I'd rather wish this were unnecessary, but it is.

What I would like to have is people posting papers and pointers to papers
from sources such as PNAS, Nature, Science, and similiar. (Perhaps
paper-warez would have been a better name, after all).
transhumantech@yahoogroups.com will not receive that content. Also, as a
side effect transhumantech@yahoogroups.com will see less content from me
overall, though it is not being orphaned yet.

Currently, there's no archive for tt@leitl.org, which might or might be
forthcoming as I figure out limitations of ezmlm and of my hosting
provider. Sorry, can't afford my own colo box just for a hobby. Feel free
to donate archive space for it, redundancy never hurts.

To subscribe, send a blank email to tt-subscribe@leitl.org
To unsubscribe, send a blank email to tt-unsubscribe@leitl.org

Initial operation might be rough, as it will take time for me to figure
out ezmlm, all thanks to Dan J. Bernstein's unique (politely put) way of
doing things.

Thanks for listening.
