I find it a useful word because it encapsulates several meaningful
concepts for me and helps to explain my actions and behavior and
words to strangers when I'm living in foreign places.
The people who don't know me, can label me as "religious" or "spiritual"
with their own interpretations of those words. I don't mind, as long
they don't coerce me to follow their expectations.
The people closest to me know that my spirituality comes from a specific
way of seeing and living my world which has nothing to do with a creator.
I don't mind their 'spiritual' label on me either, because they
know me enough to understand my perspectives.
