No, I don't think that way. Regular communication is involved.

If someone is executed by the state, or hanged by a posse, or guillotined, then their lives have
been ended, quite permanently.

If a remorseless killer does so and says he did it because he thought he would not be killed,
then that kind of criminal should be executed.
