Because it needs to appeal to the general public to get ratings. It's a
giant extropian leap though.
Did you ever notice how little tiny tugboats control huge ocean liners?
First, they throw little tiny ropes from the liner to the tugboat. Attached
eventually work their way up to a cable strong enough to hold the ocean
liner. Same thing with ideas. Get your foot in the door with something the
public will accept.
Before that happens though, the public will most likely be caught by
surprise and simply enjoy the benefits extropian ideas give them without
understanding the ideas.
