I would say that at the least, while there is significant influence upon
other governments, its a two way street. I mean, what other country
allows foreign governments to pay lobbying firms to represent them in
bribing the national legislature and presidency? In addition, what other
country pays as much respect to various immigrant groups as we do? Heck
the Cuban exiles have more influence on our government than the rest of
the Cuban people have on their own. At least we have the Foreign Corrupt
Practices act to indict our own politicians and business leaders when
they try to guy out other governments. Elsewhere its par for the course.
