When dealing with the question of "god", I think its better
not
to focus on existence or non-existence but instead to focus
on
the semantic issues of how poorly defined the concepts are.
E. g. in the "classical" version, god created this universe,
but if the multi-verse theories of physics are correct, is
"god"
responsible for those alter-verses, or do they each get a
separate
"god"?

Better yet what universe does god live in? In which universe
is that in, and which universe is that in? Who created god?
How can something create itself if this is the case? True we
are constantly learning and changing our understanding of
natural laws, but according to the god definition, it
created those laws and are so not bound by them. No matter
what our understanding of physics god is still immune.
