This week's issue of _Science_ contains an article on the ethical
implications of the Minimal Genome Project. (Begun two years
ago, this project has determined that approximately 300 genes
will be needed to sythesize a life form from scratch)

Without a registration, one can't go straight to the article summary, so please go to:

http://www.sciencemag.org

go into the Table of Contents and look for the Policy Forum
The article is entitled: 'Ethical Considerations in Synthesizing
a Minimal Genome'

Sincerely,
Kathryn Aegis
