EURISKO article obtained

As some of you may or may not be aware, I've been looking for Douglas
Lenat's old article on AM and EURISKO in _Artificial Intelligence_ 19
since I was about fourteen. Since EURISKO is the current record holder
in seed AI (and has been since 1982, God help us all), I've always
wanted to see if there were any fundamental concepts in EURISKO's
architecture not visible in the secondhand accounts.

I am pleased to announce that, thanks to the efforts of Jakob Mentor, I
have obtained a copy of "The Nature of Heuristics" by Douglas B. Lenat,
which is before me even as I write.

I have not yet succeeded in getting a look at EURISKO's source code
(although I know where a paper printout can be found, I haven't had the
opportunity to go there). If any of you know where to find an
electronic copy, I'm still looking. But the quest for the article is over.

Yours in Singularity,
Eliezer.
