Others here and there have made a judgment regarding NASA
and JPL with respect to engineering and programming errors
in this sequence of missions.
Assume, Jeff, that the Mars Polar Lander is catastrophically
damaged and operationally disabled. What would be your
interpretation of these mission failures?
