Yes, the brain must already be doing this somehow. I think of it as a
computer reducing wav files into compact ASCII text. One can
store hours of conversation into a very small ASCII file. When one
recalls walking to school, the brain must be rederiving the memories
to some extent, rather than finding and reading files as a computer
