I would, too. I'd also not only uplift, but (re)create from
scratch. It would be great fun to make many mythological beings (I'm
particular to the Irish mythos) reality they've been denied, and then
(temporarily) "downlift" yourself, to be able to play with them as an
equal.
It would be interesting to see how small the gap between the creator
and creatures can be made.
