It is still an ecology, with humans as a key species. I attended an
exhibition on urban ecology a year ago, and it was a real eye opener
to realize that cities in general house an extremely diverse ecology,
all dependent on human activities. Of course, many species are not
intentional parts of it, but they are part of the ecology anyway.
