For those who like me have been bitten by the Mars bug there are
some books of interest.
Kim Stanley Robinson has written a forth book to the Mars Trilogy
(Red Mars, Green Mars, Blue Mars) it is titled "The Martians."
Robert Zubrin and Richard Wagner have written "The case for Mars:
The plan to settle the Red Planet and why we must." (ISBN 0-684-
83550-9) It is a more detailed plan of Zubrins proposed "Mars
Direct" mission which NASA has now embraced. Mars for 20-30 billion
or so to start.....
You don't get much more Extropian than this.....
Check out the Mars Society site at www.marssociety.org and see the
fascinating Mars Artic Research Station to begin next July, and if
