Go there.
Long version:
I've used the same software that Slashdot (http://slashdot.org)
uses to create an online magazine/forum longevity, life extension, and
gerontology. This new site features news stories relevant to gerontology,
"english translations" of actual articles from gerontology journals (with
extensive links to an online dictionary). Future items will include
interviews, profiles of various ongoing research projects, editorials, and
cutting-through-the-hype evaluations of currently available anti-aging
treatments.
As readers, you are encouraged to submit articles (either your own
or quick blurbs with URL's pointing to the original source), and you will
also be able to participate in an online discussion within any of the
articles.
As readers post articles and comments, they begin to gain the
ability to moderate comments and eventually become members of the
editorial staff. Feel free to ask me any questions you want about this.
Word to the Wise: Don't put all your eggs into one basket-- to be
uploaded, for example you have to live long enough for that technology to
become available. Slowing down the aging process is already possible to
some extent and may start yielding serious results sooner than the other
options.
Here's the URL once more: http://gerol.us.itd.umich.edu
