Apropos bandwidth... Lucent Bell Labs said on Netword+Interop in Las
Vegas they had 10 GBit Ethernet on multimode fiber ready in the
drawer. Pluris has a TBit router with a 184 TBps optical
backplane. Specs for TBit Ethernet are purportedly also in the works.
