By a strange coincidence...
...my new young-adult sf novel, co-written with Rory Barnes, is called
STUCK IN FAST FORWARD. It will be published by HarperCollins Australia in
a couple of months, and *only* in Oz, since US publishers found it...

Our family, and their dog Ferdy (nothing is beyond parody, Jeff, as you
surely knew), are plunged by runaway time machine further and further into
a post-Spike future which gets weirder as the AI/upload/Gaia-mind spreads
to encompass the galaxy and then the cosmos. There is no conflict between
good and bad AI, because everything is very quickly much too strange for
such provincial metrics. So the storyline is a kind of fairytale/family
drama. The dog is the one who Transcends.
