It appears as if Michael Lorrey <retroman@turbont.net> quoted:
|
|"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security
|of a Free State, the Right of the People to keep and bear
|arms shall not be infringed." -----US Constitution,
| 2nd Amendment
(0) The amendment only holds in the USA.
(1) People refer to the amendment so they can keep and bear arms.
(2) The US government has weapons at its disposal which make the
arms of the citizens as crude as stone age flint axes in comparison.
Conclusions:
(a) The government has overkill capability.
(b) When and/or if bad humans tke over the government,
the relatively small arms of the citizens will make no difference.
